The Oven Door has been an integral part of Wetherby High Street since 1973, and continues to thrive thanks to the hard work and dedication of all of our staff, and the quality of our produce.
A lot has changed since the early seventies but the professionalism and expertise of our Bakers has remained constant as has the consistency and taste of our produce.
Almost half a century later we are using the same time old traditional methods as we did back then, using the finest & simplest natural ingredients and nothing is artificial. All of our breads look, smell & taste amazing.
Our Master Bakers start at Midnight and work through the night and early morning to ensure the freshness and quality of everything we sell here at the Oven Door.
Every single item of bread we sell is freshly made on the day in one of our stone baked ovens.
The success of our shop is not just down to the superb bakers and amazing food. It is also about our friendly & knowledgeable front of house team who try to ensure that each time you come to our shop you enjoy the experience.

With over 20 different types of fresh bread every day and the finest ingredients sourced locally, we are sure to have something for everyone. On top of this we also bake speciality sourdough breads to order. We don’t waste time adding synthetic and artificial extras to preserve shelf life. Our time is spent and dedicated to producing the best bread. It is a very simple ethos that we firmly believe in.
We also make a wide variety of Savouries & Confectionery and our weekend Cream Cakes
The Oven Door has a large Hot and Cold sandwiches menu and we also have our own product range of Jams, Chutneys, Pickles and Marmalades.
We also home deliver and orders can be made via either our web app, our website or by phone
The Oven Door has also taken the lead in its charity work and we donate food to local homeless charities 5 times a week, every week throughout the year (not just at Christmas). We estimate that we help to feed over 300 people every week or in simple terms 15000 people per year.
